Yesterday there was a strike named 'Kiss of love' happened in Kerala even though that strike ended up in violence and police arrest. That was against the moral policing of some religious groups and organisations in Kerala. Young people are fed up with these moral policing. They attack any men and women even they are married couples, other wise they should always carry marriage certificates. Even brothers and sisters or friends who talked in public got bitter experience from these moral police.
Young people always want to imitate life of western people. But that is not possible here in India. Because here people are divided into many religions and castes. If young people are allowed to marry their lover all these religions and caste system will end up. So society do not like love marriages. So young people will be always inspected and directed towards arranged marriage and arranged love.
Common people and religions want to see love marriages fail. Is this good or bad ? Cant say an answer because India is a country having a long history and cultural diversity. Even though human beings are one in blood, each religion, caste, sub caste, language, has separate history and culture. People want to preserve all details of these. So here pure love between young men and woman is very very difficult.
But interestingly lot of most successful political party leadersin India (including religious fundamental political party leaders) got married to their lovers crossing their religion or caste proving that love is stronger than all.
